Yippee!!! Finally we found the orcas!! Today started with beautiful weather, sun and no wind. We started to search Tysfjord, visiting Skarberget and watching eagles at Bekkenesholmen. Then we headed out into the Vestfjord and were searching there when we got the call. Orcas at Tysnes at the entrance to Tysfjord! Full speed back to Tysnes where we found a group of around 10 orcas travelling. We watched them for around 1 hour!:-) 

5th of November 2009
A group of 10-12 orcas has been observed inside the safariarea today by a private boat. We are hoping to find them...

4th of November 2009
Local fishermen has been seeing orcas just outside Henningsvær in Lofoten.

Large groups of orcas is also on their way further north, a couple of days ago their where seen just outside the cost of Bodø.

The herring is closer to the cost now than they where a week ago, so there is some optimistic sights regarding the orcas.

If we are lucky they will be right outside Tysfjord this weekend.

There is a spectacular nature up here in the north, to see an eagle catch a fish from the surface or to experience the different colors of light reflecting towards the water, thats something amazing.
