The season starts on 01.11.2012, and run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Season ends on 20.01.2013

Go into the water with killer whales. If conditions are right, and you're really adventurous, you can go into the water with the killer whales. We'll provide all the gear: dry suits, inner linings, masks and snorkels. We don't use flippers or flash cameras as this may frighten the herring and killer whales. Snorkelers stay on the surface, and can experience killer whales in their element below the surface of the sea.

Our partners have over 20 years' experience in inflatable safaris. Safety is a major concern for the company. Our fleet consists of large inflatables with powerful engines and state of the art navigation and communications equipment, and the boat operators are thoroughly trained.

Program:
09:00 - Meet at reception
09:30 - Time to get ready, you will be provided with a warm              and windproof floating suit.

Transfer to the safariboat

Please observe that if there are less than 7 bookings, the zodiac doen’t go out!

Clothing:
Hat, gloves, thermal underwear, sweater and pants.

The safari boat:
Our fleet consists of rubber dinghies with powerful outboard motors, fully updated with modern navigational and communications equipment. Each boat can take up to 20 people, and all passengers are supplied with windproof floating suits for the duration of the trip.

Our skippers have been given thorough training, and we have made a point of assembling a staff of responsible individuals who also have considerable knowledge of the local history, culture and natural surroundings.

Guarantee:
As whales are elements of nature, we do not guarantee that we will find the whales at all times. For the season 2007/2008 we observed whales around 51 % of the trips.

Snorkelling safari must be paid, even if you have not got the opportunity to go in to the water. We can not guarantee that you will go in to the water. The skippers are in charge during the safari. They have knowledge of the weather and the behavior of the whales. The skippers will decide if the conditions are right and when to go in to the water.

Liability and age limit:
Snorkelling is at your own responsibility.

Age limit: You have to be minimum 16 years old to participate in our snorkelling/diving safari.

Prices:

Inflatable Safari with snorkelling:
1800,- NOK (snorkelling equipment included)

If you use your own snorkel equipment the snorkel trip costs 1750,- NOK.
