How to get here?

By plane to
Harstad/Narvik-Evenes airport
There are daily flights to Harstad/Narvik-Evenes airport from Gardemoen in Oslo.
From Evenes there is a bus to most of the flights. It says Sortland on the bus and you should go to Lødingen. The bus trip takes 1h and 15 min.
From Lødingen you have to go by ferry 1 hour to Bognes in Tysfjord. From Bognes to Tysfjord Turistsenter/Basecamp it is 6 km and you can call for taxi: +47 75 77 32 86.
We recommend arriving Evenes airport at latest 20:00, but the earlier the better.
We recommend departure from Evenes after 13:00 to get the best transfer correspondence.

Bus price: About 140,- NOK per adult - We recommend that you buy a return ticket so you get 50% discount on the return journey. On the bus schedule it says “Kaaringen v.kr.” - this is 5 minutes from Lodingen ferry harbor. Tell the busdriver to drive you to the ferry harbor. They will let you of at the gas station near by.

Example: D X 67 means: Daily except Saturday and Sunday.

They guarantee all our customers a seat on board the coaches so you don’t need to make an advance reservation. Groups of more than 9 passengers, however, are requested to book in advance. All you have to do is show up at your nearest bus stop, signal the coach driver – and you’ll be on your way in no time.

From Bognes it is 6 km to Tysfjord Turistsenter (Basecamp).

Flight booking: SAS Norway

If you arrive later than 21.00 to Evenes, you can not go to Tysfjord Turistsenter that night as there are no nightly ferries. The closest (and only) place to stay overnight nearby Evenes airport is Tjeldsundbrua kro & hotel. It should be buses from the airport for all the flights to the hotel, takes around 15-20 minutes. Its on the way to Tysfjord Turistsenter.

By plane to Bodø airport
You have to go by taxi from the airport to the bus station in the center of Bodø (3-4 km). There are daily buses from Bodø to Tysfjord Turistsenter.
The bus trip takes 4,5-5 hours.

Tell the bus driver to stop at Tysfjord Turistsenter, the bus stop is just right outside the hotel.
